“This was one of my favorite characters growing up. I thought I’d give him a modern look before the Club releases their version.”
From the workshop of Lowlight27:
“Big Lob, now all I have is a classic version of Law and Order and the Beachead’s Rawhides will be complete! Head is a Blind Master and the body is a Shadow Tracker…”
According to Deadline Hollywood,
Marvel has finally found its Doctor Strange. I’m hearing Benedict Cumberbatch is the studio’s choice for the superhero pic, and negotiations are about to begin. The news comes after talks with Joaquin Phoenix around the time of Comic-Con went south, and Marvel went back to the drawing board. With names like Jared Leto and Tom Hardy also in the mix, this is obviously a coveted role. I expect this deal to make.
Cumberbatch is in the Oscar hunt this year for The Imitation Game, the Alan Turing biopic that the Weinstein Co is priming for a November 21 release. His hot streak has included winning the Emmy for playing Sherlock Holmes on the BBC/PBS hit Sherlock.
Phoenix never had a deal, and Marvel quickly got into it with other actors to play Doctor Strange in a free-standing film.
What do you think of this new addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe?
From the workshop of ska_lives:
“So like many of use, Im stuck with a few extra Blowtorches. I decided to give one of them an upgrade! His teeny little flamethrower just wasn’t cutting it for me, so I gave it the old Tim “The Tool-man” Taylor approach!”
From Lantern Lords’ drawing board…
Toys R Us is well known around the world for their vast selection of toys for children of all ages, and we do mean ALL ages…
From the workshop of Porcupunker:
“I’m not that into Sci-fi but when I saw a wallpaper of this game over the internet, i was inspired by it. tried capturing at least the concept of it. added a little taste of “realism” (or so i thought). I named him Ash.”
From the workshop of Vegabond:
“This is definitely one of the best customs I have done to date! My wife sewed the kilt and it came out amazing! Hope you enjoy!”
From the desk of Kaedryl:
“Interesting post from facebook… Mark Weber has been on the Transformers team at Hasbro for several years. He recently changed his facebook profile and posted the following:
‘”Lots of positions being switched at Hasbro in the wake of our acquisition of the Disney Princesses and Frozen franchises. After 2.5 years of working with the wonderful folks on the Transformers team, I was given the opportunity to help re-imagine and re-launch the G.I. Joe brand. Thanks to all my friends on the TF team – I had so much fun working with you!’

Dravenheart is prolific. Aside from Icecreamman, he might put out the most sheer volume of customs I’ve seen. Not only does he do amazing work, and introduce us to characters we might not see in toy form, but he also gives stories and info behind his work. Personally, I do not enjoy looking a pictures of customs where the artist has given no background, no words, and no communications. If I wanted that, I would turn into a 12 year-old girl and hang out on Pinterest or Facebook! Nope, Draven is the real deal, and it is always an honour to showcase his work!
From the workshop of Dravenheart:
“Even though I enjoyed Secret Six and really like Suicide Squad, I am not a fan of Deadshot. He just never caught my interest. As far as assassins go, I greatly prefer Deathstroke. And since I had one, I even included a duo shot of them here. A request came in, though, so I finally gave it a shot.
Started out by sculpting his chest, lower torso, and bracers. I had this oversized blaster on hand, so I cut the lower half off and attached it to his arm. Cut the sheaths and straps off a Deadpool belt, then cut and smoothed over the logo. For the holster I just grabbed one from Bullseye, and cut the strap off another Bullseye holster for it. Full repaint, then I attached the head to finish him off.”
Added a checklist and photo’s for the newest throwback Kenner style figures called ReAction by Super 7 . Let me know if I missed anything.
And since it’s almost Halloween, here’s a look at Horror Series from the line.
If you would like a checklist added please PM me and I’ll see what I can come up with.
From the workshop of Lowlight27:
“A commission for Cobra Oner. I was inspired by three of my favorite Customizers, Keepitclean Customs, Boris Ping, and Vitruvian Pro. The build recipe is a POC jungle Duke torso, POC hawk upper arms, Ult. Flint lower arms, and a casted Footloose head courtesy of Tofujesse. The body armor is a Steel Brigade vest with added pouches as well. Please let me know why you think…”
From the workshop of NAMEHERE:
“It was mentioned to me recently that since I’ve been doing so many Street Fighter customs as of late, I should try some Mortal Kombat figures. I’ve typically avoided the line since they look drastically different in every single game. Ryu always looks like Ryu. Jax, Sonya Blade, Johnny Cage? Nope. But, I thought I’d give it a shot, so expect a few over the next few weeks. To start us off though, I recently bought the Cyber Ninja three pack and noticed Smoke was blue. I thought that was weird since he’s supposed to be purple. Then, I couldn’t help but wonder why he wasn’t grey. So, I decided to cover both bases. A couple of careful repaints later and here we have purple and grey variations of Cyber Smoke.”
From the workshop of Brokenclown:
“I’m going to make an effort to post some stuff over the next couple weeks. Enough with the laziness.”
