“Ok folks, so what is this all about I’m sure your wondering. First I will explain how you become eligible to play in the Triggerman charity contest.

To be able to win one of the three prizes in the first post you will need to make a small donation to the following paypal address PIF-Family-OG13Charity@outlook.com – Very Important: Make sure to select: send money to friend or family.

And in the Subject Line please tell me who you are on OG13, this way I can see that your eligible to play in the Triggerman charity contest. Also feel free to post here in this thread that you donated.

Please donate at least a dollar, but more will be accepted. FYI donating more will not better your chances of winning.

When the collection period is over, I will be posting up here the total that we raised. Then I will make a lump sum deposit to Toys For Tots via this website.

The Triggerman contest will start on December 15th at 5:30 pm Pacific time. This will be held earlier in the day so folks on the East Coast will be able to play also. Make sure to adjust for your time zone, so you don’t miss the contest.

“Well, so it’s been a while since I’ve given some stuff away, so let’s get to it!

Winner of this drawing will receive a grab bag style mix of Hot Wheels! I’ve dug out some of those popular castings from the past year or two that were a headache to find, and tossed em in this lot. Also a few matchbox cars for good measure.

So what so you have to do to be eligible? Easy, be a member here, and post in this thread what your favorite casting has been in recent years. Talk about which ones you’ve had trouble finding, which ones you’d like to see Mattel do in the future, etc. All things hot wheels or matchbox are fair game.

I will draw from a list of all eligible members next Tuesday evening (December 17) and hopefully, ship the prize pack by Wednesday. Any questions, just ask!”

“So, here’s my first attempt at one of my favorite vipers (they’re all my favorite), the Astro Viper. After seeing vitruvianpro knock one out of the park a few months back, I just couldn’t resist giving it a go!

The basic parts break down goes like this:

head and torso- sgt airborne
legs- sci fi
helmet- vintage with hoses from sgt airborne’s gear
pack- drone wings and mandalorian jet pack
gun and forearm piece- sw arc elite trooper
gear- various, very very various.

Thanks for looking guys.”

Alright, we have some WINNERS! There were a few that were still pretty great, but didn’t quite make it for various reasons ranging from “that’s just a headswap even if it IS awesome” to “I just don’t like the look, sorry.”

1^st Place Serious category : U-Turn by Tim 121RVC – I frickin’ want this figure. VERY cool! That how you pull off a unified LBC color scheme!

1^st Place Humorous category : Blowjob by wildweasel – Hilarious looking, and a pretty funny bio. The idea of GIJoe having to make financial cuts makes me laugh for some reason

2^nd Place Serious category : Blind Wolf by Galen – Love the concept, looks great, and a very nice bio.

2^nd Place Humorous category : Captain LBC by 5h4rk – Simply ridiculous

3^rd Place Serious category : Sidewinder by Ska_Lives – I like the overall look a lot, and I’m not a huge fan of “realism.” The part in the bio about Cobra being pissed he took the codename first won me over.

3^rd Place Humorous category : Quailman by Indiana Joe – Okay, the fact someone even thought to make a Doug Funnie action figure is pretty darn creative AND ludicrous.”

A few months ago, a fellow Joe fan approached me about doing a Sideshow-inspired Firefly for him. This is what I came up with. Like the original Sideshow Firefly figure, this custom features:

– removable vest and chest strap
– interchangeable hoods – one ”up” and 1 ”down”
– opening backpack to store the grenades
– sub machine gun with foldable stock (from Marauder)
– case with 3 pipe bombs
– IED

“One of my favs as a kid and a super easy paint job. With that gold paint, I didn’t bother doing shading or anything.

Torso: PoC Firefly

Legs: RoC Accelerator suit
Webgear/leg guards: Captain america figure plus crotch plate from RoC Flash
Head: Ret RB with back side of Steel Brigade and chin strap from Serpentor plus some sculpting

I think I saw my man Letal post something very similar to this a while back, plus he’s one of the guys who made a similar RB, but I swear I’m not following him around, copying his customs, buying the same clothes as him, and leaving him breathy voice mails. That’s not me.”
