Thanks to the Creative Mind of OG13 member VanHammer, we now have a great Custom Group Project Contest for our Customizers!!!

“The goal of this contest is to create a new Oktober Guard member from a communist country other than the USSR.”

You have plenty of time to enter as the deadline isn’t until, June 16th.”

Here are the rules:

  • Your character must be from one of the countries in the list posted in this thread.
  • A bio must be submitted with your custom figure.
  • The character has to have a place of birth in their bio. Their real name is not necessary.
  • You must include their primary military speciality as well as their secondary military speciality. Be creative with these. I don’t want to see 20 heavy machine gunners.
  • You can submit as many entries as you want but only one of them will be included in the poll to decide the best custom. Tell me which one you want in the poll.
  • Be sure when you list the character’s place of birth to include the official full name of the country. I.E. People’s Republic of China, people’s republic of Bulgaria, etc.
  • The deadline for entries will be June 16th, 2013.
  • I will select the top 3 best bios.
  • The top 3 best figures will be decided in a poll taken part by the members of OG13.com

The most important part is to have fun and most importantly try to be as creative as possible!

52 Weeks of Free Figures : 1 Year Anniversary : Mother of All Give-Aways (March 7, 2013 to March 13, 2013)

A year ago this week, as you may or may not know about a dozen Mercenaries had been disavowed and were men without a country (or in this case, a website).

On March 8, 2012 – in response to this, www.OG13.com went live, and a Banned of Brothers was born.

Since March 8, 2012, OG13 has grown into a formidable community for collectors of not only G.I. Joe, but fans and collectors of all toys lines. And the best part, you don’t have to be either to be part of our community.

We never set out to make anything more than a place for our friends to come and do what they want, and say what they want. And with those two things being our underlying theme we’ve turned into one of the best, and most generous communities out there.

Everyday the generosity of our members is illustrated with bell like clarity, and the bonds of the community are reinforced. You cannot open a thread without seeing how our members take care of one another in times of need, and sometimes even just for the hell of it.

Who would have thought that in this den of deviants, scoundrels and scumbags that one would find such honor.

The Tundra Viper, could easily be mistaken for an ice viper by appearance alone, but you won’t find one of these guys in the confines of a warm vehicle. The Tundra Viper, is cobra’s subarctic infantry element, and generally operate in areas where they elite polar forces, of the snow serpents are not yet required.

Since the release of the issue of Deadpool featuring the alternate cover, this variation of Deadpool has been done many times; I believe even with the shield, which may be where this request came from. I was commissioned a little while ago to make a Deadpool Cap, but instead of a backpack of weapons, making him more Cap-like and giving him a shield.

Getting lines even normally can be rough for me. Getting them even on a round shield was painful. They’re still a little off, but after countless attempts, it finally came out good enough to go with. The figure itself was the easy part. It didn’t take me any time to repaint the body and head. I cut the wings off the Cap head and attached them to Deadpool, and even managed to keep them looking like they attach naturally.
