OG13.com Staff Member TofuNinja was at Wonder Con this weekend and attended the IDW: Hasbro panel. He was able to take some pictures of up coming comics (or maybe they are already out) and get some information that may or may not already be out there. There didn’t seem to be any big announcements for Wonder Con… I am guessing they would be saving them for Joe Con. Click HERE to view the youtube video. We showcase a lot of 1:18th customized goodness here at OG13, but it is also nice to be able to flex our creative muscles and show off something a bit larger. It was really hard to refrain from titling this thread as Destro’s Six Inches, but I did (and then spoiled it by typing it here)!

PitViper steps into the Player’s Club and gives his perspective on G.I. Joe, Retaliation!
First and foremost, Retaliation is a tremendous leap forwards from Rise of Cobra. ROC, to me, is just a dumpster fire from beginning to end. While Retaliation may not be the greatest movie in the history of film, it’s a damn fun movie with a lot to offer a hardcore Joe fan that isn’t your typical angry fanboy that’s going to bitch because Cobra Commander’s underwear are different in this than they were on his original figure 30 years ago.

The 3rd and much anticipated season of Game of Thrones from HBO starts this Sunday at 9pm EST. If you have not had a chance to see this show it is a must for all fans of Sci-Fi, Dungeons and Dragons, Excalibur, Lord of the Rings and much more.

Not too much to say about my Terrordrome; I just decided to do it after it was suggested by a friend. I always try to utilize plastic modelling techniques to my painting and masking to get as close as possible to a factory-like product. Luckily, because of all the flat surfaces of the Terrordrome, it was a fairly simple (although time consuming) piece to Pythonize !

He has an arm that will conduct electricity with all of the wires and connections running though it. All of the joints move and the volts travel though the copper and brass pieces that form the joints. Any comments would be appreciated and I hope that you enjoy it.

NEW THIS YEAR!! Souvenir purchases are by a voucher system. No punching badges! Approved badges for souvenir vouchers are: General, American Hero, Sergeant, or Exhibitor (no Aides or Exhibitor Helper Badge). You will receive a souvenir voucher at package pick-up for this purchase option. This souvenir voucher entitles you to a “Limit of 1” of each of the exclusive 2013 convention souvenirs sold in our Club Store. Golden Ticket American Hero and Generals have “3 x Limit” of each exclusive 2013 convention souvenirs. BRING YOUR SOUVENIR VOUCHER WITH YOU when you enter the club store line on Thursday evening or Friday. The Souvenir Voucher is stapled inside your folder from package pick-up. Your Souvenir Voucher must be present at time of purchase and must be used in ONE single transaction. Once your souvenir voucher is surrendered, you will not be able to purchase more 2013 souvenirs until Saturday morning.
Your name badge is how you gain entry to the store. You will not be allowed to purchase items for others by bringing loose badges. Each person must be present, wearing their own badge. At Comic-Con, the KRE-O brand from Hasbro, Inc. boldly goes where no one has gone before. Based on the upcoming STAR TREK sequel from Paramount Pictures and directed by J.J. Abrams, the KRE-O STAR TREK line, under license from CBS Consumer Products, features a variety of vehicles from the movie along with fun KREON figures based on iconic STAR TREK characters. Fans will be able to see the KRE-O STAR TREK U.S.S. ENTERPRISE set and KIRK, SPOCK and BONES KREON figures for the first time in person at the Hasbro Comic-Con booth (#3213) beginning on Preview Night, July 11.

It’s going to be a be a busy couple of weeks of weeks here on the site as we move into April and the release of GI Joe Retaliation and the 2013 GI Joe Convention. We should see a lot of good content and a lot of new prizes and guest hosts in the 52 Weeks of Free Figures giveaway.
Last weeks contest let us know that while it’s not a deal-breaker with our members, the 52 Weeks Contest is something fun that people look forward to, and will remain active for another year.
